Inktober: POISONOUS - 10/1/18
"You won't do it."
"I might."
"You're a coward."
"I could be worse. I could be you."
"Is that so? I know I wouldn't. So go ahead, prove me wrong."
"Maybe we're both cowards."
"I have a reason. What do you have?"
Silence.
"That's what I thought. You are weak. Powerless. You exist only to be used and thrown away like a plastic bag, filled with garbage and then—"
I grabbed the vial and downed it in one gulp. "Coward," I squeaked as my throat closed. "Any day."
The glass shattered as I hit the ground.
"I might."
"You're a coward."

"Is that so? I know I wouldn't. So go ahead, prove me wrong."
