Sometimes I just want to see you
Smile at me again
I just want to feel your arms
Hug me now and then

Passing time, watching gulls fly by
Feels like we're in a dream
I miss the days when it was always
Just you and me

Like the shadow of a stone
In a barren, lonely field
The only low that I still know
The pain to which I yield

I lay under the cloudy skies
Dreaming of things unseen
After all the lovely times
How could you leave me?

Now I know where I must go
A long and lonely road
